Their latest EP, issued last October -on vinyl too- on TasteRec. at times recalls Progressive/Tech-House but with a touch of lightness and elegance that we are not used to combining with this macro genre. The EP composed of four tracks is called 'Beyond' and contains multiple references, in a poetic and philosophical form, to a new conception of the origin of the human species and to the sense of man's presence on earth. The appeal, present both in the music and lyrics sung in Korean by Dongae Lee, is to reconnect with other human beings and with nature in a genuine way, in an exhortation to live in the present but also to look ‘Beyond’, with an eye to the future of the planet and the species. In short, a very high mission which -however- is worthily supported both by the music produced by the band and the physical product itself, consisting of a masterfully designed cover and an essential explanatory leaflet. All this shows the extreme care and love that both the band and the label have put into this beautiful project, establishing a fruitful connection with each other, therefore offering the public an extremely qualitative product. Holding the record in hand, one immediately gets the feeling that it’s been designed and conceived with great commitment, leaving nothing to chance -which we most definitely must acknowledge- especially in a music industry milieu that tends to flatten out every product/content making it more digestible for the masses. Music-wise, as previously mentioned, the EP features different types of influences but all orchestrated in such a way as to be complementary and therefore cooperating to create an enjoyable and very smoothly flowing record. From the first track 'Transcedence Rain Forest' and its Progressive feel -with a guitar riff giving a nod to Funk- very rich in details and sound research, to the meeker and profound vibe of 'A Journey Towards The Unknown', which takes us back to an uncharted territory full of sonic suggestions, just like when you set foot on unknown terrain. With 'Into The Bright Light ' we see the comeback of a well-defined rhythm section, which perfectly binds the record’s narrative, bringing the listener back on track. Finally, the mystical sensation of  'Transcendence (A recital On Beatless)', my personal favorite, in which the harmonic progression creates a sublime climax supported by the lyrical singing, the true protagonist which never overpowers the other instruments, ending ‘Beyond’ in the most sumptuous and cinematic way. We highly recommend listening to this record and we want to take the opportunity to praise again the band and the label (TasteRec.) for the effort they put into this release.
