Where Am I?

I’m hunkered down in my little apartment preparing for that Berlin winter. Aint gonna see people smiling here until March 2025. Perfect time to make some gritty music. Honestly I enjoy the colder months since there is less distraction so I can be in my beat making cave without feeling like I should be outside. Also the colour of the sky at sunset during this time of year is dreamy and really captures my spirit.

Where Am I Going?

I just keep on keeping on. I came to the realization that my life is just a joining of musical dots. Tomorrow isn’t promised so I just do my best each day to further hone my craft and build towards my goals. I have spent a lot of time learning basic piano, synthesis and mixing which informed my music making yet also gave me an appreciation for the randomness of my earlier sample heavy approach. Going forward I see myself trying to strip things back a bit. Simple but effective is always the mission.

"Midnight Ceremony by Boobjazz captures that late night vibe for me which, since the days are shorter, is where my mind seems to be creatively. Somebody once described my music as sexy and nonchalant and I think this track showcases both of those qualities with a sprinkle of spooky, almost haunting, elements. That all comes together to create this mood that really touches my soul."

Odyssey, Love Star Disco Mix

"This track is ruff and ready with the choppy samples yet somehow feels deep and hypnotic. I would say this encapsulates the simple but effective approach I am constantly striving for. I look back at earlier times in life wondering when did life get so serious? Therefore going forward I’m trying to free it up a bit musically and beyond. Not getting too wrapped up in what it should or shouldn’t be and just focusing on conveying the feeling."
