"In this new Apparel Review we will focus on the next release (second to date) of the Italian imprint Aureon, which presents a truly impressive four track EP by the Italian producer Dib. The record expresses, even at the first listening, all the attention and depth of a confession and it forces the listener right away to consider the artist’s POV. A stunning Sound Design research, some masterly spatialized sounds, expertly programmed beats and deep, dark atmospheres are only some of the elements that make the Eleghèia EP an extremely special work, specifically for the intimacy that Dib is able to communicate through his sounds. The path that the Turin based artists is capable of creating starts with a profoundly abstract Intro: a first secret silently whispered in the listener’s ear to make him aware of the journey that’s about to start. It keeps going with the second track which is a spectacular Minimal/Deep composition, decorated by some breathing, spacey pads and a solid 4/4 kick that carries the cross till’ the end; while the third original tune brings the sun back in, making the skyline visible again with its dreamy pads and chords, the accurately chosen rhythmics and some smoothly side-chained white noise. The closing tune is a remix of the third track by Portofino Sunrise who gives his slightly more rhythmic and upbeat version, yet keeping intact all the given stems and succeeding in the difficult mission of keeping the remix as classy and neat as the original one.
The release date of this great record called Eleghèia is the 25th of June, and for us is one of the highlights of the upcoming summer."
