'Endtroducing'

Jason Hersco and his Sad Girls Luv Pizza EP

- Hi Jason, how are you and how does it feel like releasing music on Apparel Music?

I’m doing good, and it feels great to be releasing on Apparel Music! It’s a great label with a great sound and lots of great tracks and artists. Definitely excited to be releasing with you guys. And honored 😊

- Talk us through the creative process behind the making of this EP. How did it come about and how did you work on it?

Generally, I just like to make music for whatever I’m feeling like at that time. During the time these tracks were made I was in a pretty rocky relationship (didn’t last very long haha), so the tracks are a reflection of that. In terms of my production process, I usually like to start with a chord progression that captures the vibe I’m going for and build everything around that.

- Can you share with us three tracks that inspired you during the making of?

My favourite deep house producers are probably Black Loops, Felipe Gordon and Travis Emmons so I usually have their sound in mind when I’m making a deep house track. During this time though I heard this R&B, Lo-Fi-ish track “Sad Girlz Luv Money” and really liked the vibe of it, so I tried to incorporate that. I like listening to different genres and kind of blending them.
