'Endtroducing'

Haruna Kuyateh and his Kora Foo EP

- Hi Haruna, how are you and how does it feel like releasing music on Apparel Music?

Releasing music on AM feels just great. I feel like the luckiest artist ever and the AM crew made everything super easy for me and welcomed me in the family since day 1.

- Talk us through the creative process behind the making of this EP. How did it come about and how did you work on it?

Can you share with us three tracks that inspired you during the making of? I was playing my instrument in my room and I thought it could be a great idea to record a session. Then I sent it to Giuseppe even though I was afraid that he could have spotted the low sound quality of the project. He listened to it and loved it so we recorded it from scratch. He made everything much easier by directing me and telling me his ideas in a really open and honest way. Sometimes I don’t need any inspiration from the outside world. I just play my Kora then add other instruments and that’s it.

- Could you share with us three tracks that inspired you during the making of the record?

Tracks by Almamy, Djiba Kouyaté, Safi Diabaté.
