These songs are what we could call a "brief" synthesis of what influences what I set out to produce. Disco, dance music, with a strong influence of the funk of the 70's inspires me a lot. These are songs with the instrumental part played by a band, with musicians playing their instruments and creating a groove together. The electric bass is my main instrument, so songs that have a solid, striking bass line always catch my attention. A good disco-funk band is sure to have a good bass player playing!

East Coast Love Affair - Confrontations

"Confrontations" has this band vibe, with funky vocals, razor-sharp woodwinds and a musical production, mixing and mastering focused on the dancefloor; the drums have a heavier kick than the original disco tracks from the 70s and 80s.

Ben Penn - Carrera

"Carrera" by Ben Penn, a Dutch producer, is a track with a more experimental feel. He adopts a stance towards his creations that is very close to my point of view as an artist: Music alone dictates the direction of creativity. It has a life of its own, we musicians are mere intermediaries to make them come into the world.

Madan - Exotic Disco Mix (Salif Keita)

"Madan", by Salif Keita, in the disco mix version, is a track that I play a lot in my sets. Salif is an artist that I have great admiration for, his work has a lot of depth. It's an old track, but it still works very well on the track. I believe that the guitar groove, the percussions, along with the choir vocals bring a fantastic energy.

I'm a producer and musician and my original instrument is the guitar, but along the journey I fell in love with keyboards and synths, textures... And that had a big impact on my artistic construction. The songs I chose are from masters in this regard and also have in common the mixture of electronic and organic elements, which are also part of my sound signature.

Lincoln Olivetti and Robson Jorge - Ginga

The first one I chose is "Ginga" by the duo of heavyweight Lincoln Olivetti and Robson, Jorge, the guys were way ahead of their time. This groove seems like the meeting of Ëarth, Wind and Fire and the carioca funk samba, pure poison, very hot sonority!

Deodato - Uncle Funk

The second "Uncle Funk" by the genius Deodato, a super funky reinterpretation of Mr. Funky Samba by Banda Black Rio, another great influence. Deodato, in addition to being a super arranger and musician, is also a maestro, here he killed it, very sharp sonority, huge synth bass, a pearl!

Herbie Hancock - I Thought It Was You

The third is from my wizard, super master Herbie Hancock from the 1978 album Sunlight, the track is a masterpiece "I Thought it was you", a funk with a disco footprint, where the harmony develops in a fantastic way. He uses the Sennheiser Vocoder (Daft Punk uses it a lot) which is simply to cry for so beautiful, thin metals and that crunchy groove of drums.
