Paul St. Hilaire & René Löwe
Faith (Vox Mix)

A deep electro-dub banger that hits you right in the gut. Originally released 20 years ago and reissued this year on Kynant Records. The perfect track to open a downtempo set in the shade of a park on a summer afternoon. I love how it floats — but there’s also something more experimental in the way Paul St. Hilaire delivers it. If you’re having a rough day, just put this on. The beat grabs you, but in the most relaxed way. One of the most interesting pieces I know that blends dub and electronic textures so seamlessly.

ASE MANUAL
Means More

Released last year on Like That Records. Means More is a seriously heavy futwork banger — it sizzles and slams with overdriven drums and a crooner-style RnB vocal, pushed through ring modulation. I usually love ASE MANUAL for his more broken beat and soulful sides, but this track...! This one captures everything that feels fresh and creative in today’s footwork scene.

Billy Love
Can’t Keep Running Away

A production that feels completely timeless — even though it came out in 2010 on the iconic label Sound Signature, produced by Theo Parrish. Bright drums, bouncing highs, and a vocal that sounds like it’s coming from beyond. It hits deep. A fusion of house, RnB, and soul I strongly recommend.

Tibi Dabo
Disbelieve

Tibi Dabo is, in my opinion, one of the most exciting producers in today’s electronic landscape. Disbelieve is a concentrate of everything I love in electronic music: groovy, dreamy, dubby, and mental all at once. There’s something for everyone. That synth climbing in octaves, followed by a deep, resonant bass... A true masterclass in minimalism. Digging into his discography is like entering a one-of-a-kind sonic trip.

Two Shell
Everybody Worldwide

What can I say about Two Shell... For me, they’re the most intriguing masked duo of recent years. I loved their hyperpop / UK garage hybrid home released in 2022 on Mainframe Audio. They’ve been on a roll for the past two years with a string of strong singles — and this one might be the most exciting. It’s fresh, punchy, and still there’s something so poetic and eroding about it. They keep reinventing the genre, and I can’t wait to see what’s next.

Wookie & Lain
Battie

UK Garage meets gospel — and it’s just class. Somewhere between Todd Edwards and Romanthony. Wookie doing what he does best. The production and the vocals are incredible. The track hits hard with pure UKG energy, but still manages to be emotional and beautiful. A powerful club tool and a tearjerker at the same time — that’s the duality I love. Released on ManChu Recordings in 2017.
