Villager
Sóisa

Villager is one of the artists that seem to have it all figured out. He’s fusing styles, genres and sounds with the finesse of an audiophile technician without losing vibes and feel at all. Sóisa fuses Baile Funk and UK Bass in a manner that I haven't heard before.

Felix Fleer
Premise

Felix Fleer is a friend of mine and I had to include him in this list because he inspires me in so many ways. First off, his music is amazing. The sound, the feels, the breaks, the drops, the chops, the textures: everything is interwoven masterfully. “Premise” condenses the things mentioned above as well as many of his tracks that are yet to be released. It’s worth subscribing to his chan- nels and checking out the other releases by his label Serial Sound.

The Herbaliser
Forty Winks

This track for me stands for a specific lounge type of vibe that I grew up with. It’s the kind of melan- choly and introspection combined with beautiful samples, chill drums, tickling textures and the space to bathe in subtle essentiality that do it for me on this one.

Andrew Ashong, Theo Parrish
Flowers

There are so many days that I wake up with this tune on my mind and I can’t resist playing it when- ever I get the chance to.

Erkan Oğur & Djivan Gasparyan
Yemen

I get chills every time I listen to this track, the whole album is amazing. I like to exchange music with people I play with as an early thing to get to know each other musically and this track was a part in one of those exchanges.

Alessandro Cortini
Perdere

I just love the textures on this one. So warm and tasty. I have a weakness for tape saturation and analog synthesizers and Alessandro's workflow keeps inspiring me again and again.
