'Cryo-EM' EP by CK722 & Camillo Dal Forno

[Apparel Tronic]

The ‘Cryo-EM’ EP is the outcome of the joint effort of CK722 (Jacopo Gobber) and Camillo Dal Forno.

Gobber is a composer/sound designer with a substantial working experience in music composition and in post production studios (Sequoyah Tiger, Disney, Rainbow group and Studio Bozzetto); Dal Forno is a gardener, pianist and composer. He was part of the psychedelic collective C+C=Maxigross and composed soundtracks for Luca Guadagnino, Alessio Bolzoni and Drake Doremus. The concept behind ‘Cryo-EM’ lies in the research, from a sonic perspective, of the microscopic creatures that, although invisible to the human eye, normally share our very same spaces. Focusing on the tracks: ’Polychaete’ is a fast glitchy Techno track, with chilling drone-pads in the background. ‘Tardigrade’ is a random shuffle of stab bass and synth-drums featuring a smooth clarinet on top; features the presence of Manuel Trabucco. 'Giardia’ is set in a glacial chill-wave arrangement, where one is invited to relax and listen to the dialoguing synth-bass and trumpet; Mezuru Takahashi helped the pair out on this one. In ‘Embryo’, digital Jazz chimes are laid over a rough Lo-Fi chill texture.

Out the 20th July 2023.

The four-track EP of the Italian pair is set to be released on Apparel Tronic's main catalogue.
