New London label Natural Element kicks things off with the debut release from Fremantle based Jon E. These 3 tracks showcase the producer’s innate flair for slick, sophisticated grooves that evoke the rawness of Detroit as well as the spirit of London’s broken beat pioneers. The A-side offering ‘New Ventures’ is a beautifully crafted piece of jazzed-up house with an infectious bassline and synths that weave in and out to create a warm and uplifting energy, whilst ‘Sunflowers’ on the flip side is a no-nonsense jam with wonky drums, vibrant strings and a soaring synth solo reminiscent of Kaidi Tatham.
