LPM - Mirage EP

Apparel Music Limited will be blowing 10 candles in June with LPM and his 4 tracks EP “Mirage”, featuring the remixes of Mangabey and Kisk.

The Dubliner brings what he is expected to, with a blend of Disco, Funk & Jazzy touch which makes his two original tracks “Mirage” and "Jazz Thing” the perfect gifts for the catalogue's 10th birthday. The EP starts with the title track which is a perfect way to kick off with a solid beat, smooth chords and a sweet flute with an alternating vocal sample that gives a fresh touch: perfect equipment for an instant summer classic. Then Mangabey pops back on our screens doing what he does best with his interpretation of “Mirage”. This time with a broken kick and a square bass line that drive it all, until a reverberated saxophone and some nice filtered chords take us from the breakdown to the proper explosion, showing his skills when tied to an original tune. We move on to “Jazz Thing” the 2nd original track which early from the title sounds like a tribute to the label itself, literally. Here, a slightly distorted super powerful kick hits all around helped by a spacey pad and some jazzy chords to make it the typical tune which makes you bang your head in the club. With this kind of composition LPM shows how difficult it is to make a simple but extremely impactful beat. Then is Kisk’s turn to show his point of view on the track and he does it in classy fashion with a nu-jazzy / broken beat performance and the precious hand of Vincenzo Marino's saxophone and flute that makes this remix the perfect way to end the 10th birthday of Apparel Music Limited catalogue.
