Out in may ‘Edd – Fock Quarantine EP’ [APDEXTRA009]

Edd is the protagonist of APDEXTRA009 out next May in digital only. His four track EP called ‘Fock Quarantine’ is a nice musical surprise and, by the title, we want to think of it as an auspicious release, in every sense! The 19 years old DJ and producer from Malta debuts on our Extra catalogue with a work composed by solid Disco/House tracks with some slow-cooked heavy basslines. The opening and title track relies on a strong rhythm section with some dreamy melodic keys and warm pads while the following ‘A Trip’ is a groovy loop with a smooth saxophone accompanying the beat and sexy vocal samples popping up far and near along the track. With ‘Stewie the Bpm increases and with it the heartbeat of everyone who’ll dance to it on the dancefloor. The closing track is ‘Last Saturday’ and starts with a long broken intro leading to a heavy 4/4 kick, pulsing pads and and evolving harmonies. This EP by the newcomer Edd is surely one of the best revelations of this quarantine and will help us all going through it.
