Written and co-produced with Dougie Stu (of the psychedelic pop dance duo Brijean), “Never The Same” twists club music into jazzy shapes, capturing the spiraling disorientation of trying to return to something you’ve outgrown. Slow, grooving electronic drums, a bouncy twisted piano riff , and swirling synth textures evoke a sense of loss and transformation, giving voice to the emotional clarity that often follows a difficult goodbye.
